So, I've been on the search for some new Partners for a while, and I figure this might be the best way to do it. Here goes. (Please bare with me, its 5 AM and I'm at work and a bit brain fried. I promise I'm not this scatter brained all the time.)

I prefer someone who can post a few paragraphs. Nothing kills the RP like a one liner though I do account for writers block and slow spots while trying to plot out twists and turns in the story line. Also, I really prefer if your 18+. Please write out full words. I hate when people use text speak. I understand the occasional U in place of You when your in a hurry and we aren't in character and just chatting, but if you start replacing your G's with Q's like I've been noticing a lot lately( preddiqurl blah blah blah ugh)... I'll probably rip my hair out. That's about it honestly. I'm really easy going otherwise, and I'm generally pretty easy to get along with. Expect me to ask how your day was, I do like to get to know my partners a little bit personally...

So, I've really only Rped Fandoms. I've been Roleplaying since I was 13. So That's ten years now (Holy Crap.)

I'm completely open to original ideas though. I just might need a little guidance, since it's new to me! :)

Taking a page from the tobacco industry?s playbook, a group representing tanning salons is attacking doctors and researchers who claim that tanning beds cause cancer, FairWarning reported Aug. 23.

Training videos distributed to salons by the International Smart Tan Network and other materials refer to the ?sun scare? movement and try to equate tanning beds to natural sunlight, instructing employees to tout the health benefits of Vitamin D, produced by the body when the skin is exposed to the sun. An undercover investigation revealed that tanning shop employees routinely tell customers that indoor tanning poses no health risks.

The Indoor Tanning Association, the industry?s biggest advocacy group, launched a campaign to try to dispel the link between indoor tanning and skin cancer; the campaign was headed by Richard Berman, who formerly fought against drunk-driving laws as head of the American Beverage Institute. Ironically, industry officials compare their critics themselves to Big Tobacco.??The Sun Scare people are just like Big Tobacco, lying for money and killing people,? says Joseph Levy, executive director of Smart Tan.

In 2009, the International Agency for Research on Cancer concluded that?UV-emitting tanning devices are carcinogenic, and the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Academy of Dermatology urge minors warn to use tanning beds. There is broad scientific consensus that tanning beds raise the risk of developing melanoma, a particularly deadly form of skin cancer.

Tropical Storm Isaac aims at Florida

Not yet a hurricane, Tropical Storm Isaac has already delivered shock waves from the Caribbean to Florida, postponing terror trial hearings in Cuba and posing a potential threat to next week's GOP convention in Tampa.

Isaac's path remains uncertain, but some computer models show the storm slicing its way up Florida's peninsula. Others send it farther west, into the Gulf of Mexico.

Officials are taking the threat seriously.

Gov. Rick Scott will talk about Florida's preparations for the storm at a media briefing Thursday morning at the State Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn said his city is prepared for the 50,000 people headed to his city for the Republican National Convention, which starts Monday.

The latest forecast map from the National Hurricane Center in Miami shows Isaac passing near the Florida Keys early Monday as a Category 1 hurricane and northwest of Tampa by Monday evening.

"We have contingency plan after contingency plan," Buckhorn said. "We are ready in the event that it happens. I don't think it's going to be a factor in this particular convention. But we are prepared in the event that it is."

Convention spokesman Kyle Downey said the situation is being monitored "very closely."

Possibly complicating matters, the convention site -- The Tampa Bay Times Forum -- is mandatory evacuation zone once storms reach 96 mph or a Category 2 hurricane, according to the Hillsborough County Hurricane Guide. The current forecast doesn't have Isaac reaching that status.

At the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, officials canceled the pretrial arguments scheduled to get under way in the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others.

Those wondering if "Project Runway" could possibly pack even bigger drama after two designers walked off the show this season got their answer Thursday night. It absolutely can -- and then some.

After all, the designers who ditched their big opportunities hurt only themselves. But on the latest episode of the fashion face-off, Ven Budhu, the show's newest villain, upped the drama considerably by actually hurting his client/model.

It all started when Ven and his fellow designers were presented with this season's twist on the now-usual "Runway" real-size challenge, wherein the contestants were asked to create makeover-worthy fashions for regular folks rather than models. Most of the competitors found the task exciting and looked forward to transforming their client-models. But not Ven.

No, Ven felt he was the victim of cruel fate thanks to his model's plus-size proportions. Terri happened to be a size 14 -- which is a fashion crime as far as Ven (who's well beyond the male equivalent of a 14) is concerned.

"My client doesn't really have a shape," he complained to mentor Tim Gunn. "She's definitely not fashion forward. She doesn't have any sense of style whatsoever."

But make no mistake -- Ven didn't keep his unkind comments about his "nightmare" client strictly to Tim. He let them fly right in front of her as he whined about accessories that were too small for her and how difficult she was to design for. ?

"He made her cry!" Fabio Costa said of the situation that clearly frustrated all of the designers. "It's really sad that you have the power to make someone feel bad about themselves and you use that deliberately."

In the end, Ven still saw himself as the victim.

"When people see this episode they're going to feel that it's unfair (to me)," he said in an online-only clip. As for his client? "No one forced her to go on the show. She agreed to it."

Isaac could shake up security for GOP convention

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) ? Tropical Storm Isaac could force a shakeup of the security plans for the GOP convention in Tampa, because about half of the expected officers come from other parts of the state and some could be forced to stay home for the storm, authorities said Thursday.

"We're in a situation right now where we don't know what's going to happen," Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee said. "My primary concern right now is that we will lose resources."

Gee said some agencies, especially in South Florida, might decide not to send officers to Tampa if the storm threatens their areas. "As things change, they might have to prioritize," he said.

Gee's agency is in charge of the county where the convention will take place. The Hillsborough Sheriff's Office is providing the bulk of the staffing for the event because it is the largest agency in the area and also oversees the county jail. The Tampa Police is the other main agency handling security outside of the convention hall. The Secret Service is in charge of everything inside the convention hall.

More than 3,500 officers from 59 law enforcement agencies from around the state are scheduled to come to Tampa to patrol the streets. About half would come from outside Hillsborough County and the city of Tampa. About 1,700 National Guard troops were already expected to help with patrols; Gee said the number could increase if other law enforcement agencies don't end up sending officers.

The sheriff joined Tampa Police Chief Jane Castor and representatives from the FBI and Secret Service at a media event Thursday. As they spoke to reporters, a large TV screen tuned to a cable news channel showed colorful radar images of Isaac swirling in the Caribbean.

Convention officials said they were working closely with state and federal authorities on monitoring the storm.

"We continue to move forward with our planning and look forward to a successful convention," convention CEO William Harris said in a statement.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott said RNC officials were on a call Thursday with state, local and federal authorities and there were no plans to cancel the convention.

Scott pointed out that the storm is still trending westward, and he hoped it would not have a major impact on Florida.

"It's a forecast and all the forecasts are prone to error, but fortunately it has gone a little bit west," Scott said. "Hopefully it will dissipate by the time it gets over Cuba."

Scott also said Florida "is more prepared than any state in the country for hurricanes."

"The National Guard will be ready for any contingency," he said. "So if that happened then the logical backup would be the National Guard."

Jeff Masters, director of meteorology for Weather Underground, said the storm's current forecast indicates Tampa is unlikely to take a direct hit from a potential hurricane. When the storm passes the Bay area, it's likely to have an east-west motion, meaning it could sideswipe Tampa, causing rain and flooding, but not directly strike the city.

Chief Castor said she wasn't worried about redeployment of officers; when she initially asked other agencies to help, she told them they should only send people that they could spare.

She said the security team factored in the possibility of another event, such as a storm, happening during the RNC.

"We'll adjust our plans," she said. "We're used to that in law enforcement."

Steven Ibison, the special agent in charge of the Tampa division of the FBI, said he wasn't concerned about the number of officers on the ground.

"The FBI isn't involved in weathercasting," he said. "But we have plans in place. We always do here in Tampa."

Castor and Gee stressed it was too early for any agency to dramatically change plans. Castor said that no one would really know where Isaac was headed until late this weekend.

"The only predictable element about a tropical storm or hurricane is its unpredictability," she said.
